On Tuesday (15/08/2023), the Campus Life Introduction for National Defense (PKKBN) of the Business Administration department was held. The event took place at the Sport Hall of Campus II, UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, located at Jl. Babarsari 2, Yogyakarta, and it ran smoothly from 07:00 AM to 04:00 PM. The purpose of PKKBN AB is to foster a sense of camaraderie, solidarity, and better acquaintance among the new students. It also aims to prepare the new students to learn effectively within the Business Administration department and to adhere to and follow the student regulations. The Campus Life Introduction for National Defense (PKKBN) activities of the Business Administration department serve as a means to fulfill academic and social responsibilities as outlined in the Three Pillars of Higher Education.
This year, PKKBN AB adopted the theme “Fostering Business Pioneers Through the Adaptation of Culture Toward Society 5.0 Intelligence.” Leading up to the pinnacle of the event on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, there were several preceding activities that the new students needed to participate in. These activities included tasks such as Focus Group Discussions (FGD), creating the “MaNaDeSa: BUKU Mari kenalan dengan sesama” book, the Snack Clue game, and preparing cheers for their respective groups. The purpose of these activities is to enhance solidarity, teamwork, self-confidence, and build bonds among fellow students.
On the main event day, which was when PKKBN AB was held, there were additional activities that the new students had to engage in. Apart from creating a summary of the event, which would be reviewed by the organizers and later returned to the new students as their record, there were also games, campus safaris, and the opportunity to attend sharing sessions with speakers from external sources, the department, and alumni.
