Department of Business Administration UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta

MBKM

In accordance with Permendikbud Number 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards (SN-Dikti) and the Implementation Guidelines for Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, the Department of Business Administration facilitates student learning rights for a maximum of 3 semesters outside the study programme, with a maximum of 2 (two) semesters outside the university. MBKM activities can be carried out by students starting from the fifth semester. The integration of MBKM activities into the SKS that students have taken is done in two ways:

  1. Recognition, which is the main mechanism for integrating MBKM activities in the form of credits, is carried out by including MBKM activities carried out by students directly into the transcript;
  2. In the event that recognition has not / cannot be carried out, a conversion mechanism is carried out which includes student MBKM activities in the transcript as courses with the same SKS weight. In the case of conversion, only elective courses can be converted to MBKM. In situations where students participate in MBKM activities in a semester where there are compulsory courses that must still be taken, students are required to repeat the compulsory courses in the following semester.

In accordance with SN-Dikti, there are 9 (nine) forms of learning activities that can be pursued by students:

  1. Student exchange
  2. Internships/work experience
  3. Teaching assistants in education units
  4. Research
  5. Humanitarian project
  6. Entrepreneurial activities
  7. Independent study/project
  8. Village building/Thematic community service
  9. Military/conscription training

The Department of Business Administration provides flexibility to students to freely choose the MBKM programme or conventional pathways (non MBKM). MBKM programme participants will be guided by a Supervisor with the following requirements:

  1. Active students and not on leave of absence;
  2. Students have taken all compulsory major courses, and cannot be converted;
  3. Students have taken at least 4 (four) semesters;
  4. Have done counselling and received approval from the Academic Advisor lecturer;
  5. Have received written approval from MBKM partners
