On Saturday to Sunday (03-04/06/2023), the Daily Board of the Business Administration Student Association (PH-Humanis) organized the Maba Cup event, which is one of the work programs of the Interests and Talents Division. This event took place at Tifosi Futsal Yogyakarta with the aim of promoting sportsmanship among the students of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta, as well as providing a platform to accommodate and develop the interests and talents of the students.
The Maba Cup 2023 carries the theme “Take Your Glory, Make A History” and is targeted towards the new students of 2022 at UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. This event focuses on futsal matches that will take place over two days. On the first day, there will be 11 matches involving 16 teams representing each department. The second day will continue with the matches from the first day until there are only 2 teams left to proceed to the final round. Afterwards, the winners of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be determined, and there will be cash prizes for the best player and best supporter.
Following the Maba Cup 2023, many futsal players from different departments have started to get to know each other. The hope is that the students can foster a sense of camaraderie among the UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta community. The Maba Cup serves as a platform for students to build connections, friendships, and a sense of brotherhood/sisterhood beyond their respective departments. It provides an opportunity for students to come together, engage in healthy competition, and strengthen the bonds within the university community.
