The KSM Investasi Charity community once again demonstrated their commitment to environmental preservation through the activity of planting sea pandan at Pelangi Beach, Saturday (9/11). The activity carried out this afternoon involved dozens of volunteers who enthusiastically took part in the coastal ecosystem rehabilitation efforts.
Sea pandan (Pandanus tectorius), which is known for its ability to prevent coastal erosion and protect the coastline from damage, was the main focus of this activity. The volunteers who are members of KSM Investasi Charity not only planted, but also provided education to the surrounding community about the importance of maintaining the coastal ecosystem.
The Head of KSM Investasi Charity, in his speech, emphasized that this activity is part of their commitment to supporting environmental preservation. “We believe that every small action can have a big impact on the environment. Planting sea pandan is not just planting trees, but also educating the community about the importance of maintaining the coastal ecosystem,” he said.
Throughout the activity, the volunteers seemed enthusiastic about preparing sea pandan seeds, cleaning the beach area, and planting the seeds carefully. They also documented each stage of the activity to be disseminated and inspire the wider community.
The head of the local 4K community also expressed appreciation for the concern of KSM Investasi Charity. “Activities like this are very important to us. Sea pandan not only protects the coast, but can also be an alternative source of income for the community,” he added.
The activity, which lasted for three hours, succeeded in planting more than 50 sea pandan seedlings along the coast of Pelangi Beach. The volunteers hope that this action can be the beginning of a series of sustainable environmental conservation activities.
